Spanish Flamenco & Ballet dancer Laura "Laviva" Vila has an incredible passion for her craft, which she not only effuses to her students but to her peers as well. Born and raised in Valencia, Spain, Laura began dancing as a young girl. Her lifelong pursuit of dance culminated in her education at Valencia University's dance program with two degrees in Classical Ballet and Spanish Dance & Flamenco. Laura learned her unique dance style under the mentorship of Maribel Gallardo Gomez and Mila de Vargas, two of Spain's most prestigious dancers.
During her career, Laura has participated in countless performances around the world, dancing with various Spanish dance companies. Laura has even performed in the "tablaos," as a soloist dancer in the famous Flamenco vs. Celtic show "Battle of the Dance" in Las Vegas and Anaheim. Just before her move to Southern California, she was a finalist in Spain's Ballet Nacional de España, where she performed as a guest dancer.
Today, you can find Laura teaching and perform all across Southern Orange County. Laura feels incredibly honored to share part of her beloved home culture and craft with our community.
